Street Fighter IV coming to PlayStation 3/Xbox 360/PC this winter

G4TV’s X-Play caught up with Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono for an interview yesterday to announce that Capcom has a good idea on a release window for the United States launch of the home versions of Street Fighter IV, which will hit the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

When asked about when SFIV would be coming out in the United States, Ono replied:

“There is no official North American arcade release, so we kind of feel bad that you guys have to wait for it. That’s why we’re trying to get it to you as soon as possible. Before the Japanese have a really long period of time to get really good at it first and totally kick your butt online…We don’t want to start rumors that it’s this year, but definitely this winter. At some point you’ll be sitting in you winter coat looking at snow out the window…and right then we’ll kind of heat you up a little with some hot street fighter action so look forward to that.”

Capcom producer has hopes for MvC3

In a Street Fighter IV interview from December 2007, Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono expresses his interest in creating a new Marvel vs. Capcom game.

EGM asked Ono (Yoshinori Ono, Capcom producer), if he’d like to try reinventing any of the other fighting franchises languishing in Capcom’s stable. As it turns out, he sure does:

“Personally, I’d love to make a new Marvel vs. Capcom, and I’d also like to see the triumphant return of Darkstalkers to a new generation of technology. It would be an interesting challenge with Darkstalkers, because in the old games, you’d see a lot of really interesting animations as characters would morph into different forms. That would be tricky to do with this 3D engine, but not impossible. In two or three years, if I got the chance to resurrect that series, I’d like to shock Hollywood with how good the graphics would look.”
